This project
is the realization of a dream born on the shores of
Lake Turkana in northern Kenya in the final days of
the last millennium. While living and working at Koobi
Fora, a common purpose was realized as we pursued the
nature of our origins literally in the footsteps
of our distant ancestors.
We exist
to serve both the community involved in the field and
the public at large. In an area of study where division
is too often the norm, we strive to be a forum for the
unity of ideas and synthesis of a common human evolutionary
model. We realize the need for public education regarding
our origins, so we share here with the world our fascination
with where we came as we strive to popularize the idea
of our shared past.
We hope you find the information contained herein both
useful and inspiring.
